MEDICAL - How cholesterol clogs your arteries (atherosclerosis)

  • AppleSouffle:

As cholesterol has been demonized for so many years we have not been able to clear the blackboard and rethink… all studies of dead people have failed to show an association between their intake of saturated fat, or their serum cholesterol, and the degree of atherosclerosis. People who avoid all saturated fat and who have low cholesterol become just as atherosclerotic as people who gorge in animal food and whose cholesterol is high.

when I shop at my local butchers I am fully aware of how the animals are reared, how they are slaughtered and how they are then cut up for sale. But you’re right, a business is there to make money, and not to look out for your health, just look at statins and the pharmaceutical companies that sell them.

  • Undurkhaan:

    Thank You.

  • therawfooddiet:

Now I know how that stuff work!!! THanks for the video!!! Dont forget to watch my videos!!!

  • spirit7000:

have you been there when they made that meat?
do you trust meat packers thinking their looking
    out for your health.
any business is in business to make money not
    to keep you healthy

  • spirit7000:

    drugs will kill you.
    food wont
natural food i am talking about no meat

  • hardlypinxt:

This is bullshit. Why would eating meat- which we’ve been eating for thousands of years be bad for us? This guy is seriously misguided.

  • AnEscapedMind:

    yea, great point

  • XENAXON:

  • jmoon219:

it’s not so much that I’m happy, I’m just showing how if it can happen to me, it can happen to anybody.

  • nadiaaraquel:

  • timgillan:

Yep I totally agree with you! • jmoon219:

I own the record for bad cholesterol. It’s like a million or something, lol. Anyway, my “bad” cholesterol was well over 200 while the “good” didn’t even show up on the test it was so low. And those damn triglicyerides (sp?) were dangerously high. So, I’m on 2 meds, one to lower the bad, one to raise the good, and fish oil pills to help lower the t’s. It sux. Side effects are awful.

  • SuperSean32:

What does high Cholesterol have to do with Obesity?

  • canaan1967:

All cholesterol is vital. There is no such thing as “bad” cholesterol. ATHEROSCLEROSIS IS CAUSED BY POLYUNSATURATED OILS. THIS DOCTOR’S ADVISE IS KILLING PEOPLE.

  • Tallguy2011:

HDL and LDL are not even Cholesterol…………….he needs to listen what he just said………… HDL High Density Lipoproetin………..LDL Low Density Lipoproetin……………They are Proteins…….that transport cholesterol to and from tissue…….you dumb ass…..These Doctors need to go back to school………..

  • Tallguy2011:

    cholesterol is not the enemy……..

  • sisdavid:

Yes, eat less burgers for sure. I am not a Doctor, but I am a fitness enthusiest. Get your protean from other sources like yougart, beans, fish, protean is a very small part of your food pyramid anyway, you do not need much of it.

  • smexTTS:

alright mate, after you blood tests check your doctor for options, medicine is a good alternative, until then, cut out the burgers as you may develop hypercholesterolemia which is over activity of cholesterol, check for family history of this condition also, relax you will be fine. IF the burgers are fast food, they should not be eaten every week, once a month at the most

  • tirobiz:

Does poor diet cause smaller LDL particles? and How?Generally does the liver only produce the large (safe) LDL particles? I am very open minded now that I am hearing a lot about the myths of Cholesterol. Thanks in advance.

  • bluediver2:

My cholesterol i found out today is at 222 i dont know what to do i like burgers should i limit it to once a week ? and i eat eggs almost daily and we eat alot of canned foods can someone help me ?????????

  • Tallguy2011:

He is Totally Wrong About Cholesterol…..So are Most Doctors……WE have BEEN BRAIN WASTED INTO THINKING LDL IS BAD CHOLESTEROL. LDL is Only Bad If you Have a Poor diet… Or if The LDL gets oxidized which can cause Inflammation. IF we Eat RIGHT LDL WILL FUNCTION THE RIGHT WAY…THERE IS NO SUCH THING IS GOOD OR BAD CHOLESTEROL…. WITHOUT CHOLESTEROL WE WOULD NOT EXIST…. ) CHOLESTEROL IS MANUFACTORED IN OUR LIVER….

  • ZoeHarcombe:

More outrageous misinformation on a vital life substance – cholesterol.
Think about it – we have been eating animals (the source of saturated fat according to Mr White Coat) for c. 3.5 million years. Let’s say that translates to us having been eating animals for 24 hrs, then agriculture (large scale access to carbs) developed 4 mins ago and our consumption of sugar has gone up 20 fold in the past 5 seconds. I wonder which is the real baddie?!

  • TheZachRogers:

I have found the most effective and (dually important), safe way to lower cholesterol, is to take a natural supplement. About 6 months ago, I found CholestProtect… The results have been impressive.
